Nature in Milan
The 24th World Congress of Dermatology plays an important action of sustainability by donating trees to Milan, with the purpose of leaving a positive green footprint to the city which hosts the event. In October 2019, Triumph Group, to celebrate the 24th WCD2019, will create the “Forest of Dermatology” by planting 500 trees tracked and placed in the map as follows: https://www.reteclima.it/aziende/wcd-2019/map This action is part of the main urban forestation project that Rete Clima – nonprofit organization – has been implementing for years (also) in Milano City, with the Patronage of the Italian Ministry of Environment. The trees will provide eco-systemic services to the city during their growth (i.e. improvement of air quality, restraint of summer heat, improvement of the landscape,….etc.), also by removing CO2 from the atmosphere as a partial offset of the green house gases’ emission generated during the event and of the participants’ mobility. Think globally, act locally (in Milan)! |
Transport In order to encourage the use of public transportation all the participant to the WCD2019 will receive a weekly travelcard which covers the entire transportation system of Milan. |
Suppliers and human resources WCD2019 will mainly involve local suppliers and human resources to reduce the transfers and therefore the exhaust gases emissions. This will also allow greater involvement of Milan and then a better use of its excellences in terms of professionals and manpower. |
